Centre for Oral Pathology & Maxillofacial Diagnostics

The Centre for Oral Pathology & Maxillofacial Diagnostics, established in 2016, Dr. Bhuvan Nagpal, MDS. is the first of its kind in Hisar, Haryana. It is the very first and only centre exclusively dealing with the speciality of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology. Since the date of its establishment, it has been continuing to serve complete and specialized services in this very critical field of oral healthcare.

Among the main functions of the Centre for Oral Pathology & Maxillofacial Diagnostics is early detection and diagnosis of oral cancer. This centre has gained recognition as one of the trustworthy centres for diagnosing and managing various lesions of the oral cavity, jaws, and salivary glands.

Objectives of Oral Pathology Practice

  • To ensure optimal patient care through accurate diagnosis of diseases affecting oral and maxillofacial region.
  • To establish critical and precise connection between oral health and systemic health.

We specialize in diagnosing and reporting pathologies in the head, neck, and oral and maxillofacial regions.

  • The size of a biopsy depends on the nature, size, and location of the lesion.
  • While there is no ideal size, a minimum of a 1 cm diameter biopsy is recommended.
  • Place the specimen in a 10% formalin solution, ensuring it covers more than 3/4th of the bottle/container (approximately 10 times the specimen size).
  • Do not allow the specimen to dry or sit out for long periods before placing it in the formalin solution.
  • Wash the specimen to remove traces of blood before putting it in the tissue container.

Yes, we can assist you with special stains and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Additionally, we can guide you to other services if needed.
