Conditions Of Histopathology Reporting At COPMD

  • Individual histopathology examination reports should not be considered conclusive.
  • It is crucial to use the histopathology report in conjunction with other relevant clinical findings and ancillary laboratory findings to achieve the final diagnosis.
  • The histopathology reports are for the information of referring clinicians/surgeons only.
  • The report provides a synoptic compilation of observations from the representative tissue sent for biopsy.
  • It is presumed that the biopsy specimens belong to the patient named or identified in the requisition form or specimen container; verification with clinicians may be required if needed.
  • Special stains and IHC markers will be performed upon further request from the clinician, and a separate cost for the same will be charged to the patient.
  • Inconclusive results due to improper storage, transit, incorrect labeling, non-representative tissue, or insufficient or ill-handled specimens will require a new specimen for accurate reporting.
  • Case details, diagnosis, and reports are kept confidential and may be used for academic teaching and research purposes.
  • In case of unexpected findings in the histopathology report, please contact the laboratory. We will investigate and perform repeat microscopic analysis if required. All results depend on the quality of the biopsy specimen received in the laboratory.
  • The histopathology reports are to be used to help in diagnosing/treating oral and medical diseases and not for forensic applications.
  • These reports are not valid for medico-legal purposes.
  • If you are not the intended recipient of this report, please immediately return it to the concerned issuing desk. Any disclosure, copying, or distribution of any content of this report is unlawful and strictly prohibited.
  • Any unauthorized or improper use of the report is invalid and considered null and void.
  • Partial reproduction of this report is not valid and should not be resorted to.
  • All disputes/claims concerning the reports are subject to Hisar Jurisdiction only.
